Yes/no riddles — also called situation puzzles or "guess the story" puzzles — are brain teasers where you start from a strange situation and rebuild it by asking only questions that are answered with Yes, No or Not relevant. The rules in 30 seconds

1. Read the riddle: a short scene that seems to make no sense.
2. Ask yes/no questions: "Did the victim know the killer?", "Does the weather matter?". The narrator answers Yes, No or Not relevant.
3. Rebuild the story by putting the clues together.
4. Submit your solution: write what you think happened and see how close you got.

The trick to solving them

These riddles play on your assumptions: you take for granted something the text never states. Winners are the ones who doubt the obvious — the identity of the characters, the place, the era, even whether the "victim" is a person at all. Start with broad questions before you narrow down to the details.
